Two People

Two people
Thrown together
Falling in love
Madly in love with each other.
They set sail
Apart on a journey
To what they found
Is the bliss they call heaven.
They traveled unnoticed
Each day as words were exchanged
Souls meeting
Understanding that the Love
Is always there.
The days drag forever
The nights an eternity
Longing to touch the face of the other
But the sail is far away.
Dreams that could reach the sky
Hope, Pain, the Desires
Holding on to the image
which comforts the lonely heart.
They feel it in the distance
The strength of the bond
That grew stronger each passing day.
The passing days
Weaken the spirit
Not being fed by the touch of the other
The sail is too far away
Never knowing if the friend is okay.
Looking up to the sky
Breathing in, Breathing out
The clouds go by
Wondering if the other
Is in much pain as you are.
Holding on tight
Gripping the sail
Tears falling down from one's eyes
To see a glimpse
Of the future that is nearby.
The fog is lifted
Only to see
That they have been sailing
Side by side each day.
Two people thrown together
Yet cast apart
Finally they unite.
