Created by members of edesigned.net ------ I fell in love with Bela Dubby when I tasted my frosty glass of imported beer. It was a thick ale with a smooth chocolate after taste. I was sitting in a 60's style kitchen chair surrounded by art and some music that played from the radio. I was at the art gallery with the funny name called Bela Dubby. The gallery is a nice comfy spot that is now well known for providing art, beer, and coffee to the locals of Lakewood, OH.
My date was drinking a nice coffee blend out of a fat mug. It was topped with a caramel colored foam and cinnamon sprinkles. The steam that drifted my way smelled fantastic and the taste proabably went well with the cookies we were sharing. We sat there quiet for a minute or two, taking in the moment as the rain came down. I plugged in my laptop and she pulled out her sketchbook. We laughed about how we briefly became one of those couples seen in commercial coffee shop ads.
These are just few of the descriptions that you may hear from people that have had the pleasure of visiting Bela Dubby. It has become a local favorite in Lakewood for those that like great imports, smoke free environments, and awesome people. The awesome people also include the owners, John and Jill Crino.
After you step into Bela Dubby and introduce yourself, John and Jill will always remember your name. (Or the beer is free!!!)
"Hey come back to your chair, I was kidding!"
Hopefully you are not currently pushing people out of your way to reach the beer tap.
My point of course, is that the owners are a friendly couple that welcome anyone walking through the doors of Bela Dubby. From open to close you will always see a smiling face behind the counter. Because of their treatment of customers, they have a variety of groups that meet there weekly for various social gatherings. New artists and their work are featured every month, so the environment is always changing.
I have had the pleasure of tasting the best mocha and cake at Bela Dubby while surfing the net on my laptop. I have played cards there with many friends while sipping on cold beer and snacking on popcorn. No matter when I go, I never leave unsatisfied.
I can't say enough good things about Bela Dubby. Check it out if you are in search of a calm hang out spot that provides good art, drinks, and now WIFI.
You may have trouble saying the name. But after a few of those good beers it all sounds fine.
